Anthracyllin is created by fermenting the petals and only the petals. It has a slight healing factor that gives Nymphs an edge, while poisoning the other non-earthbound races (humans and sylphs, non-nymphs. Half-nymphs and imps can use it to an extent) suffer mold-like illness upon use. Slow but debilitating illness after a mild high is administered to a human or sylph repeatedly.
Anthracyllin, commonly referred to as Darkium by the Black Crusaders to hide its source, is the predecessor to Anthracaine, usually in concentrated liquid form, that is designed to enhance specifically nymphid abilities, and has healing properties. It is very addictive to Nymphs, but is extremely toxic to humans and Sylphs.
The Anthralily from which anthracyllin's abilities are derived from was a common known toxin to humans, and a well known strength enhancing herb among Nymphs, which would be smoked like tobacco or sipped like tea. However, in its crude and undeveloped form, it is nothing compared to the many breakthroughs that the Black Crusaders make to enhance nymphid ability and poison/ torture humans efficiently.
The greatest derivative of the plant was created by Connor . He invented the most dangerous iteration of the drug, (See Connor's Formula.) It is so potent that it is corrosive to human and part Nymph skin. He found other nymphid magic-enhancing supplements, herbs, and substances, and combined many consumption methods. He would very soon regret this formula's creation and seek to destroy his research, however, he would be unsuccessful as he had to abruptly flee during Natz's Coup de Tat.
His highly sought after formula would not be discovered until young Dami, under Antoinette's reign, would find the file with Mephisto's guidance and bring it to her.
Darkium is the common name for the injection Anthracyllin or Anthracaine. It was given this name so that no one, during the reign of the Black Crusaders, would make the connection that this substance was derived from the common wildflower, the Anthralily.
